‘You can’t write to make people love you’: Kate DiCamillo on the 20th Anniversary of Despereaux (Pt. 1)

My favorite part of ALA Annual in Chicago was interviewing Kate DiCamillo. We talked all about her Newbery Medal winning book, THE TALE OF DESPEREAUX – which turns 20 this year.
It was such a funny, fascinating, heartfelt talk. We recorded the conversation to share.
We hope you enjoy this episode.
