Travis: It was such a pleasure to interview Michigan author/illustrator Supriya Kelkar about her nonfiction picture book AND YET YOU SHINE: THE KOHINOOR DIAMOND, COLONIZATION, AND RESISTANCE. Supriya talks about the process and challenges of making a picture book about a brutal and often tragic true story. She also shares her unique artmaking process, and her hope for the book.
